New Year, New Equipment!

There are not enough words to express how grateful I am to have become a full time small business owner in 2023!

Prior to this month, the office has been very adequately furnished with a top of the line adjustable treatment table, tools for strengthening, motion, post operative care, vestibular rehabilitation, and everything needed to measure progress and educate clients.

… But who wants just what you “need”;)?

Arriving just in time for the new year, Bespoke is now the proud owner of the *best pilates reformer on the planet.  With this addition, the clinic is now fully outfitted, and my vision has been completely realized (at least for now)!

What is a pilates reformer you may ask?  It’s a piece of exercise equipment that uses springs and a rolling carriage to make a movement easier, or add challenge to a movement.  Because of this versatility, I love it as a way to help my clients achieve their goals while keeping their comfort top of mind.

A handful of clients have already enjoyed incorporating the reformer into their visits as a tool to aid in strengthening and lengthening in a comfortable and effective manner.

What has Bespoke’s pilates reformer been used for so far?  Here is a very incomplete list:

-increasing knee motion: both to aid in extension (straightening) and flexion (bending)

-ankle strengthening in a reduced gravity (AKA gentle) position

-upper back and shoulder stabilization

-hip flexor stretching

-assisted hamstring stretching

-allll of the hip strengthening (strengthening all sides of the hip complex)

-gentle spine mobility (cervical, thoracic, and lumbar)

-trunk stabilization

As always, I am adamant about providing ways to help clients work towards their goals at home with minimal to no equipment required, but it never hurts to have an extra fun and effective way to work while in the clinic.
